A beautiful winters day made for a great walk.  Starting at Surprise view we walked up to Winyards Nick, up and across Higger Tor followed by an interesting crossing near the source of Burbage Brook. After a medicinal and warming break at the Fox House pub we walked back through the Longshaw estate and rejoined the brook and followed it to Padley Gorge before clambering up the rocks and across the heather moor back to Surprise View.
